back to the Future?
after a disorienting summer in Montreal, i've decided to travel back to the East to complete ventures i was only beginning to delve into when i left.
in all technicality.. it is currently Wednesday afternoon over there.. making them a good half day in the future.
not only that, but i am somehow convinced they are the future and currently functioning to represent the future - hovering within anxiety, forth coming potential and possibility.. being in this country (CAN) and environment my entire life, i feel i have learned as much as i can from this place at the moment.
going away in all curiosity, i hope to discover and learn from the emerging Contemporary Chinese Culture and at the same time recognize a sense of hybridity and identity in our globalizing world of Internet and technology.
what role the Arts will take in the vastly modernizing and rapid speed economy? what will the kids do? how will they approach life, how will they deal..? how will the world deal? how will i deal..? in a place where independent endeavors and creativity just starting to be given more openness to.. the new freedom will be liberating for the people now able to build their own world and identity.
please feel free to send me material to share and exchange with people over there.. to perhaps inspire the new emerging generation of artists in a country where the youth are rapidly discovering a new world of contemporary creative freedom and thought.

catch me before im gone!
(please read back to older posts from January onwards to understand where this is all coming from - recent posts have been lulled since coming back to Montreal to documentation of events and fragments of discover.)

it's always a good idea to go to the orient when you're disoriented.
